A new round of rumours have emerged surrounding Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console.
The latest gossip, based on pictures supplied to Xbox website Xbox Scene by an anonymous source, suggests that a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) connection port is being lined up for the console.

Europe’s first high definition TV service over the Internet
Europe’s first high definition Internet TV service went live in the Netherlands during the FIFA World Cup.
IPTV set-top box firm Amino has been selected by Lijbrandt Telecom BV to supply its STBs for the first ever high definition (HD) IPTV service in Northern Europe.

JVC announces 120Hz LCD TVs
JVC has announced two new high definition flat panel LCD televisions with technology that delivers crisp unblurred images.
The two new sets, a 37in (LT-37X987) and a 32in (LT-32X987), employ JVC’s new Clear Motion Drive, which produces images at 120 frames per second (120Hz), double the standard rate, and inserts an interpolated image. In addition, response time of the panels is a not-to-shaby 6ms. The result is a significant reduction in blurring or ghost images, often a problem with conventional LCD TVs.

Microsoft denies XBox will get in-built HD DVD drive
Microsoft has “no plans” to offer a version of its Xbox 360 console with an internal HD DVD drive, a company employee has stated in a bid to deny rumours to the contrary.
According to the official Xbox employee blog, Microsoft is sticking with the external drive it announced in January this year and demonstrated in May.
