GadgetCentre interviews Wolf Gauglitz, Texas Instruments

The GadgetCentre has an interview with Wolf Gauglitz of Texas Instruments about HDTV.

Texas Instruments is the company behind the technology known as DLP, which amongst other things, is responsible for the high standards set inside digital projectors and rear projection TVs.

Covering topics such as the difference between 720p, 1080i and 1080p; DLP technology; and predictions for how th HDTV market in Europe evolving over the coming months.

Interesting interview indeed, seems like a pretty smart man.

Here’s question though, can you really notice the difference with 1080i / 1080p? How much extra are we paying for the upgrade progressive gives rather than interlaced?

DLP sounds freaking awesome tho!
